Terms of Service
Last updated: July 9, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of BIR Online Tools, including this blog (bir-online-tools.com/blog/) and the application (bir-online-tools.com/app/). By creating an account or using either, you agree to these Terms.
What BIR Online Tools is #
BIR Online Tools is an independent web application that helps Philippine businesses, accountants, and bookkeepers prepare BIR-compliant DAT files and generate BIR Form 2307 and Form 2316 certificates. This blog publishes guides and reference articles on Philippine BIR tax compliance. BIR Online Tools is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
Not tax or legal advice #
BIR Online Tools is a document-preparation and workflow tool, not a source of tax or legal advice. Blog articles and in-app guidance are for general informational purposes only. You are responsible for verifying that the DAT files and certificates you generate are accurate and compliant with current BIR rules before submission. For advice specific to your situation, consult a qualified tax professional. This applies to every article on this blog, consistent with the disclaimer shown on each post.
Your account #
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your company profile details (TIN, business name, address, etc.) up to date, since these appear on the documents you generate.
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
- You must be authorized to use the TINs, business names, and payee information you enter — do not use BIR Online Tools to generate documents using data you are not authorized to process.
Acceptable use #
You agree not to:
- Use the service to generate fraudulent, falsified, or knowingly inaccurate BIR documents
- Attempt to access another user’s account, company data, or certificates without authorization
- Interfere with or disrupt the service, including attempting to bypass rate limits or security controls
- Use the service in a way that violates Philippine law or BIR regulations
Fees and payment #
BIR Online Tools is currently offered free of charge. We may introduce paid plans or premium features in the future; if we do, we will provide notice before any charge applies to your account. Where payment is required, it is processed through our payment partner (PayMongo, supporting GCash and Maya) — we do not store your full payment card or e-wallet credentials ourselves.
Intellectual property #
The BIR Online Tools name, logo, app, and blog content are owned by BIR Online Tools unless otherwise noted. You retain ownership of the data you enter (company details, transaction data) and the documents you generate from it. BIR forms themselves (e.g., Form 2307, Form 2316) are official documents of the Bureau of Internal Revenue, not owned by BIR Online Tools.
Service availability #
We aim to keep the app available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Features, forms, and calculations may be updated as BIR regulations change; we do not guarantee the app reflects every regulatory change the moment it takes effect.
Limitation of liability #
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BIR Online Tools is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or blog, including penalties, surcharges, or losses resulting from inaccurate, late, or rejected BIR filings. You remain responsible for reviewing and verifying all generated documents before submission to the BIR.
Termination #
You may stop using the service and request account deletion at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, including fraudulent use of the service or abuse of other users’ data.
Changes to these Terms #
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. Continued use of the app or blog after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
Governing law #
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
