BIR Online Tools Plans, Billing, and Storage

·4 mins

The Billing page in BIR Online Tools shows your current plan, what it includes, your storage usage, and the option to upgrade. It’s reachable from the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar, next to Profile.

This guide is part of the App Guide series. The screenshot below is a real, unmodified capture of the Billing page on a newly created Free-tier account — not a mockup — so the plan comparison reflects exactly what a new sign-up sees.

What does the Billing page show? #

The page opens with your Current plan badge, a card detailing what that plan includes, a Storage usage bar, and — if you’re not yet on a paid plan — an Upgrade to Pro section listing available plans.

BIR Online Tools’ Billing page for a Free-plan account, showing DAT downloads and Form 2307 PDF downloads marked Not included, Form 2307 email marked Included, a 0/100% storage bar, and a Zero Plan upgrade option with a Pay via bank transfer button

What does the Free plan include? #

The Free plan is deliberately usable for building and reviewing your work, but downloading and syncing require an upgrade. Based on the plan card shown above:

FeatureFree plan
DAT downloadsNot included
Form 2307 PDF & bulk ZIP downloadsNot included
Form 2307 email deliveryIncluded
Cloud syncNot included
Cloud storageNot included

In practice, this means you can fill in QAP, SAWT, or RELIEF templates, upload them, and see validation results and computed totals for free — see the QAP, SAWT, and RELIEF guides — and you can build a BIR Form 2307 certificate and email it directly to a payee, but downloading the DAT file or PDF yourself requires upgrading.

How does the storage meter work? #

The Storage section shows a percentage bar tracking how much of your plan’s storage allowance is in use, colored on a gradient from green (low usage) through amber to red as you approach the limit. A brand-new account with no saved DAT files or certificates yet shows 0%, as in the screenshot above.

How do you upgrade? #

Under Upgrade to Pro, each available plan lists its price and a Pay via bank transfer button — currently the only payment method wired up. Clicking it requires an active company (the button is disabled without one) and records your upgrade intent, returning payment instructions. Your subscription activates once BIR Online Tools verifies the bank deposit; the page notes that downloads unlock automatically at that point, with no need to refresh.

Frequently asked questions #

What does the Free plan include in BIR Online Tools? #

On the Free plan, Form 2307 certificate email delivery is included, but DAT file downloads, Form 2307 PDF and bulk ZIP downloads, cloud sync, and cloud storage are not included — you can build and validate certificates and DAT files, but downloading and cross-device sync require upgrading.

How does the storage meter work? #

The Storage section shows usage as a percentage of your plan’s limit, with a colored progress bar that shifts from green through amber to red as you approach 100% — the Free plan shown in this guide has a limit that reads as 0/100% with no data stored yet.

How do I pay for an upgrade? #

BIR Online Tools currently offers bank transfer as the payment method: clicking Pay via bank transfer on a plan records your intent to subscribe and returns payment instructions, and your subscription activates once the deposit is verified — no card or GCash checkout is wired up yet.

Does upgrading unlock immediately after I pay? #

Not immediately for bank transfer — the Billing page states that downloads unlock automatically once your payment is verified, with no need to refresh the page, but verification is a manual step on BIR Online Tools’ side rather than an instant automated confirmation.

Summary #

The Billing page is where a Free-tier BIR Online Tools account can see exactly what’s gated — DAT and Form 2307 downloads, cloud sync, and cloud storage — versus what’s already usable for free, like Form 2307 email delivery and building/validating DAT files. Upgrading currently runs through bank transfer with manual verification. For how the app behaves without cloud sync at all, see why BIR Online Tools works offline.
